Mommy

Opened her pretty eyes, rubbed them with her little hands,
played with the hair, swirled around her face, where there were strands
The innocence flickered about when she blinked,
hardly could she stand up,
looked around, found no one
sat there like a helpless pup.
"Hello child," a deep voice came,
a queer man stood in front of her,
and suddenly she realized that she wasn't there with her mother
With a chiseled face
and shoulders broad
announced the fact
that he was God
You have come to heaven child, the place where I reside
the place where you'll be happy for eternity, where all the happiness lies
"Tell me what you want, anything,
toy, chocolate, anything you deem close"
Without a second thought, and said, her mother at once she chose
"Make my mummy happy, she now is really sad
She comes back home with a sad face
but always shows she is happy and glad
She limps around the house all day but does all the chores
I have seen her trying to suppress some pain, all of which she ignores
Then daddy comes late at night
and takes her away from me
the wailing and crying at night only
fills my room's scenery
The stars seem unhappy, even the moon   above cries
the trees wave in disappointment and
the little flower dies
My mommy comes to visit me
after she thinks I'm asleep
but after seeing her bruised face
my heart takes a leap
I feel sad, uncle, I don't know what to say
the woman who has a bruised eye still does, make my every day.
She smiles at me as if
the world is all okay
But daddy comes late at night
and takes her all away
One day I felt a
deep pain in my chest
I wailed and cried till my very voice died
forgetting all the rest
my mommy came running towards me
in my house, another man came
A queer white blazer he wore
and doc, he said was his name
Suddenly my eyes closed down
the world bid me goodbye
but I wanted to see my mommy
before I ever died
One fine day, I was able to do so
opened my eyes and saw
Mommy was sitting next to me and
looking at me with awe
Tears came to her eyes as the
doctor nodded a no,
Why she seemed so sad it seems that
I will never know
That was the last that I saw of her, uncle, yet I never saw her happy
and daddy always seemed to look at me a way very snappy
Help my mom, she is struggling
inside, indeed she is dying
but never will she tell anyone that,
you'll never see ber crying.
I love my mommy dearly, but what has happened to her?
She seems sad every day, her face looks so queer.

Traveller

I was a traveller

reaching for the depths of the Earth

had a feeling of wanderlust since

the advent of my birth

One woeful day I dared to tread

a dark, dangerous path,

it turned and twisted and disappeared into

the mist, so unbelievably dark

The dim light of the moon

seemed to illuminate all that I could see

But the little heart inside my chest wanted

me to me to be the bravest that I could ever be

The gravel path lined up with

crisp, orange, autumn leaves

left shadows pitch dark through the

netted moonlight of the trees

Suddenly something fell from above and

hit a tree’s root

scared, I looked down and found

that it was just a fruit

Queer, I thought, in autumn

the flowers never bloom

but here the fruit laid at my feet

the woods silent in their gloom

I noticed through the bushes that

red eyes were staring at me

I couldn’t seem to believe the crude

truth of reality

Slowly the eyes rose up,

before me a black figure stood

higher than the sky and his face was hidden

by the black of his hood

My feet stuck in their place

my skull nearly froze

my hands began to get numb

as it suddenly grew wondrous cold

The leaves crinkled and crunched

beneath the figure’s feet

the fruit turned to dust in no time

I couldn’t seem to believe this feat

“Hello friend” a voice came

and scared me to my soul

it looked as if an elf stood in front of

a big ginormous troll

“What are you doing at midnight

beneath the dense canopy?”

“Just prancing, glancing, strolling around

falling into this ecstasy

“I am lost here, friend”, scared and alone

perhaps we can walk together?”

Without an answer began to walk with me

employed a tactic, so clever

I didn’t pay attention, just obeyed

and walked under the moon

and somewhere deep down my heart I knew

this trip won’t be over soon

I told him all about myself

where I came from and where I go

but when I asked him to introduce himself

he didn’t seem to know (silence)

A chilly wind blew past us

which seemed to stop the time

but the cold didn’t seem to bother him

he didn’t seem to mind

I’ve been through these woods a lot

and can help you find a way

I’m familiar with the routes here

your efforts won’t go in sway

Took me though another route where

his red eyes were all I could see

somehow, I realised I wasn’t

as safe as I’d meant to be.

I suddenly saw the ashes

of the fruit that fell on my foot

figured we’d been going in circles

my heart accepted defeat

In the midst of this perilous journey

came the road’s end

“What did you want to do”, I asked

“I came to bury a friend.”

Photography

I just realized that I haven't used the blog in a very long time, and thought of it as an opportunity to share some other things with you. As writing is a very slow, laborious and time-consuming process, I have decided to fill-in-the-gaps with photographs that I click every now and then.
Though I haven't stopped writing, I have realized that it requires modifications every now and then, which is why I probably won't post as frequently as I used to.
So, here it is, one of the first posts of mine, on photography.

Peter: A Touching Story
If you find yourself helpless,
There is one, who found it by none, even after being jobless.
CAN YOU GIVE IT A GUESS?
He is a poor beggar on the streets of a city,
He is slapped, hit and snapped at, but yet no one takes pity.
His name is peter, young in thin,
You’ll be having luxurious items but he sleeps in a bin.
Spends the day in the scorching sun,
With not even a shirt on his back and no time for fun.
Begs to the people and gets a rupee or two,
No money to spend, what to do?
No money to spend, not even to purchase wheat,
Sometimes eats a little, and sometimes starves and has nothing to eat.
His parents expired when he was seven years old,
To the market he was taken to the market and like a slave he was sold.
Owned by a cruel trader, he was treated very badly,
But still he tolerated every bad deed very bravely.
“Sweep the kitchen, clean the floor,
Otherwise you’ll be hanged by the door!”
“Clean my room, make some food,
Otherwise I’ll get in a very bad mood!”
“Clean the pot, make it shine,
Don’t break it, ‘coz it’s mine!”
“Wash the clothes, and stand there till they dry,
Otherwise in a pan I’ll make you fry!”
“Keep the chairs in their place,
Otherwise I’ll throw you in space!”
He got very little food to eat,
He slept in the store room and was not even asked to have a seat.
Then at last he gave up and ran out f the house,
Ran miles and miles away as quiet as a mouse.
And then shifted to the city slums,
But was still beaten like drums.
“You’re so ugly! You’re so tan!”
Don’t you think friends that this should get a ban?
But still he tolerated, but still he tried,
Till the end moment of his life he could do nothing and just cried.
Sold roses at the signal in the morning and begged at night,
Got beaten without any reason in every bit of a fight.
And one day he had an accident with a car,
And his carcass flew apart far.
And on this day when we were having fun,
His carcass was rotting in the sun.

My giant friend
I have a giant friend,
He wears clothes of every trend.
Mt. Everest is not even a small hill for him,
He can see everything, even when the light is dim.
Even his football is bigger than me,
He’s still a growing one; you can imagine how tall he can be!
He plays, he eats a lot,
He doesn’t even break a sweat even when it’s very hot.
He sleeps for a day and wakes for a day,
Many buildings collapse when he bends down to lay
When he’ll grow up, he’ll touch the stars,
He will crush every planet with his powerful cars.
If we want to dig deep inside, tell him,
It’s nothing to hide.
He’ll get up and give the ground a big punch,
The land will surely break out with a crunch.

When he’ll grow up, he’ll make a car for me,
It will be so high that the people will think how tall I’ll be!
When he talks to me, it’s like a thousand lions are roaring,
But when he doesn’t, it seems to me very boring.
When I have to talk to him, I have to shout at the top of my voice,
For, me he’s deaf, but I have no choice!
Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce him,
By the way, his name is Lim.
He loves to eat apples,
But when he wants to, we have to bring it in bundles.
He is my best friend forever,

I will always want to be with him together.
If I would be a Robot

If I would be a robot,
My every mistake would not be caught!

I could steal biscuits from the shelf,
And I could hide in the mouse’s hole as an elf!

I would fly to Paris within blinks and jump from the Eiffel Tower,
Nothing will happen to me, I’ll have a safe landing on a flower!
(‘Cause I’ll shrink!!)

I would jump above Taj Mahal,
And become the robot Ricky Bahl!!!

I would have a height competition with Burj- Al- Arab,
And I would have a swim in an Olympic pool of some Arabs!!

In a second I’ll walk through the Great Wall of China,
And I would go to Amazon and hunt with a hyena!

I would win a race with a Formula 1 car,
To hide from mom’s scolding, I would hide in a jar!

I wouldn’t need to care about studies; I would simply scan and copy it in my brain computer,
I would teach teachers and punishments would be given to tutors!!!

I would catch every gangster,
And become the biggest barrister!!

I would be the biggest detective,
And would easily cross every objective!!

Even the P.M. will fall on his knees in front of me,
But I feel sorry as I am not a robot and normal to see!

Super Hero

If I would be a super hero,
Everyone else would get a big zero!

I would be as great as superman,
And to do bad things would get a big ban!

Like Spiderman I would throw a web from my palm,
For my enemies, they would have no time to stay calm!

Like Hulk I would thrash every bad one,
And by then, bad ones would be left by none!

Like Thor I would just throw my hammer and everything would collapse on the spot,
To do this, I would have fun a lot!

Like Iron Man, I would be the king of the new generation,
Enemies in front of me would get into the big bang sensation!

Like Captain America, I would have a shield and a bike,
And do anything that I like!

But alas! I am not even one of them and at home I usually have fun and eat a bun,
But I wish to be one of them because saving the world would be so fun!
